Whole Wheat Adai

Adai is a healthy, protein rich & nutrient dense meal which is mostly eaten by southern part of India. Adai tastes delicious and is mostly served with a chutney. Adai dosa can be made thick or thin, soft or crisp all to suit your taste.Here we are trying to prepare adai with whole wheat which is rare one.Do try this guys...it tastes heavenly and easy to prepare.

Lets start preparing the whole wheat adai .....


  • Whole wheat - 2 Cup

  • Red Chilli - 1 tbsp

  • Ginger - 1 small piece

  • Salt to taste

  • green chilly - few

  • Curry Leaves - Few

  • Onion finely chopped - 1/2 cup

  • Asafoetida- A pinch


  1. First we need to soak all the whole wheat for 4 hours.Once soaked grind it with dry chilli , asafoetida and salt into dosa like consistency.

2. Add chopped onion, ginger and curry leaves.

3. We can prepare it instantly.In a dosa tawa,pour the batter in a dosa form.

4. Grease it with sesame oil , flip the adai to the other side and let it cook on the both side

5. Hot and crispy wheat adai is ready to serve with Sambar.
