Tasty Wheat Bun
Sometimes ago we used to have only bun for breakfast. As time goes we changed it in many ways. A bun is a small, sometimes sweet, bread-based item or roll. Though they come in many shapes and sizes, they are most commonly hand-sized or smaller, with a round top and flat bottom. Buns are usually made from flour, sugar, milk, yeast and butter.Here we are going to prepare it with wheat flour to make it healthy.
Lets start preparing wheat bun...
INGREDIENTS FOR WHEAT BUN
wheat flour - 2 cup
butter - 1/4 cup
milk - 1 tbsp
salt - As required
Sugar/honey - As per our taste.
Yeast - 1/2 tsp
warm water - 1 cup
First we need to activate the yeast.I have used Active dry yeast .In a bowl add 1 cup of lukewarm water , 1 spoon sugar and 1/2 tsp yeast mix it well and keep it aside for 15 mins.
After 15 mins check whether it has risen up else don't proceed , the bread will not rise up.
3. Once yeast is risen up in another bowl add wheat flour , salt , butter and then mix the yeast water and knead it to dough.
4. Now take the dough in a plane surface or plate and knead it for 10 minutes till it becomes more soft .
5. Then keep the dough covered and rest it for 1 hour. So that it get rise up.
6. After 1 hour take the dough again and knead it again and make it a bun shape, rub a butter over the tray surface and place it in a baking tray. Keep it aside for 30 minutes let it rise for the second time.
7. In the meantime in a stove preheat a thick based vessel for 5 minute or a air fryer for 200 degree Celsius for 4 mins . After 30 minutes grease with milk over the bun top and place it in the hot vessel and cover it with the lid.Keep the stove in a medium heat for 15 to 30 mins.
8. Wheat cake is ready.

Bun prepared in air fryer. My daughter shaped this bun.She was so happy to shape it.Let include kids also in cooking...that will enhance their interest in eating the food.She ate the bun she shaped and so pride that she did it.
