Simple Capsicum Chutney
In this lock down period everyday we will have easy making dosa/idly for dinner or in the breakfast.Having dosa/idly daily with the same coconut chutney will be boring...make this capsicum chutney to have it with different taste will make your dinner super delicious and yummy too...
Let's start preparing capsicum chutney...
Capsicums are available all year round at supermarkets and fresh food markets.

INGREDIENTS FOR CAPSICUM CHUTNEY
Capsicum 2 nos
Tomato 1 nos
garlic - 3 nos
shallots - 4 nos
green chilly - 2 nos
tamarind - small gooseberry size
channa dal - 1 tbsp
urad dal - 1 tbsp
Fresh grated coconut - 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
oil for tadka
mustard - 1 tbsp
dry chilly - 1 no
curry leaves for tadka
salt for taste
asafoetida - A pinch
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fry channa dal and urad dal in oil . In a mixi jar add the fried dal,tamarind , fried capsicum , shallots,garlic,chilly and tomato.Add fresh grated coconut and salt grind it to fine chutney.
In a tadka pan add oil ,once hot add mustard seeds let it splutter add a pinch of asafoetida,cumin seeds,dry chilly and curry leave.Fry it and add it to the chutney.
Capsicum Chutney is ready.


Hot and Spicy Capsicum chutney is ready to serve with dosa.
