Homemade Wheat Cake

Cake is always everyone favourite.When birthday comes we all look for cakes only.Lets prepare the cake in a healthy way with wheat flour.


  • wheat flour - 1 cup

  • Naatu sarkarai - 1 cup

  • vanilla essence - 1 tsp

  • butter - 1/4 cup

  • milk - 1/4 cup

  • curd - 1/4 cup

  • baking powder - 1 tsp

  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp

  • Almond - few


  • In a bowl add wheat flour,baking powder , baking soda, naatu sarkarai. Mix all the dry ingredients well

  • Now add vanilla essence,curd,milk and butter.

  • Mix all and blend it with whisk till you get a fine paste like consistency.

  • In a stove preheat a thick based vessel for 5 minute. In a cake pan rub the base with butter and place butter paper and pour the mix and tap the pan so that batter get settled down.Garnish the batter with almond pieces.

  • Place the pan in the hot vessel and cover it with the lid.Keep the stove in a medium heat for 45 mins.

  • After 45 mins check with a ice cream stick.If it is non sticky.

  • Wheat cake is ready.
