Healthy Ulundhu Kalli
Ulundhu Kalli is a healthier recipe and very famous in South India especially given for all the women's which strengthens the hip bones. This food is rich in protein and low in fat. I have given a step by step photos to make it easier to prepare at home.
Let's start preparing Ulundhu Kalli...
Raw rice - 1 cup
Split Ulundu - 4 cup
Vendayam - 1 tbsp
Chukku - 1 tbsp
Palm Jaggery (Karupatti) - 300 gm
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Gingelly oil - 1/2 cup
In a pan add little water and melt the palm jaggery. Once melted filter it.
Take coconut milk and add it to the filtered palm jaggery.
Add powdered chukku to the liquid mixture.
Finely powder the flours and sieve it.
Let the mixture boil then keep the stove in medium flame and add the finely powdered rice flour little by little without forming any lumps.
Let everything get mixed well.
Add gingelly oil and let it in medium flame till the flour gets cooked well.
Ulundhu Kalli is ready to serve hot.
